How it works . . .

1. A company (from any state in the US) has a technology need for work/services to be done - and lets us know what they're looking for . . .
   
   
2. The CT SBIR Office broadcasts this information out to our database of businesses . . .
   
   
3. When a business finds a fit they email us with a description of how they can help
   
   
4. We Match them!

How this program came to be

It turns out that many companies are not always able to find qualified businesses to be their "suppliers/vendors." We hear about their needs all the time. So, we decided to pilot a "Matches for Money" program to find out if our office can serve as a conduit to help network Connecticut companies with the firms they need -- to do business.

Q. Can out of State Companies participate?

A. YES. When the request comes from a CT-based company we blast out the need to all of the companies in our US database. When the request comes from outside CT -- we blast to CT companies only. At least ONE of the companies (making the request or satisfying the request) MUST be from Connecticut.
