Drew L. Harris, Ph.D., is not only a professor but also a coach – of student entrepreneurs.  Last year this associate professor of management from Central Connecticut State University’s School of Business advised six CCSU student groups who entered the Connecticut Collegiate Business Plan Contest.  Three of them went on to become finalists and one was a division winner – an impressive  batting average!

The winning team has since launched the company Digi-wait, which is now housed at CTech, the New Haven-based business accelerator created by CI in partnership with several other members of Connecticut’s technology community.  Digi-wait also has become a CI client, receiving pre-seed assistance through our Pre-Seed Support Services Program.

Thanks to Dr. Harris’s skilled coaching, the Digi-wait team is off to a great start in the business world.

We are pleased that Dr. Harris has recently joined our CI board of directors – appointed by House Speaker Christopher G. Donovan.  His enthusiasm for and experience with entrepreneurship will be a tremendous asset to both CI and our clients.
