Optiwind Corp. has developed a new style of compact wind acceleration turbine (CWAT) that is designed specifically for the mid-sized distributed generation market. This includes schools, factories, large retailers, offices and other facilities that have the space and wind resource to generate their own power on site. Optiwind’s new technology uses wind acceleration and a series of smaller turbines to generate power at an installed cost that is not possible with conventional turbine technologies.
